Ex-Slaughterhouse in Bisceglie

The social and cultural exploitation of the former slaughterhouse and the socio-economic sustainability of the intervention are the aims of project to giving to community back intergenerational meeting place.

The proposed innovation involves four aspects: the interpretation of the open space as a place to be defined and functionalised, in the same way as the closed space; the attractiveness conferred on the place through the expansion of the functions that can be carried out there; the mixity in terms of users and use.

The project involves the refurbishment of the main building as toy library, the renovation of historical Slaughterhouse factory buildings, and the redevelopment of the external areas as educational vegetable gardens as well square included between the buildings.
